The first section of the letter is addressed to his cousin Hattie (Harriet Frances Carico); the second section of the letter is addressed to his cousin “Lib” (Sarah Elizabeth Carico). Both cousins were from Terre Haute and the daughters of Cynthia Evaline St. Clair Carico.
