Dr. Cooper quotes Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43BC). 'Arborivital Medicine.*' This article originally appeared in The Medical Visitor , October 1896, pages 287-296. Published by Halsey Bros. Co., Chicago. The article states "* Read before the International Homoeopathic Congress, at London, by Robert T. Cooper, M.A., M.D." This is referring to The Fifth Quinquennial Gathering of the International Congress held in London, 3rd - 8th August, 1896. But there is some doubt that this paper was read at the congress. An article titled 'International Homoeopathic Congress, 1896', published in July's Monthly Homoeopathic Review , gives the Order of Business for the meeting. 'Arborivital Medicine' is not listed as an Essay to be read by Cooper at the Congress. Instead, Dr. Cooper of London, is to read 'On certain forms of Deafness and their corresponding remedies' in the Afternoon of Thursday, August 6th.
