The three parts of Britton's auto-biography were issued separately (parts 2 and 3 probably before part 1), each in two distinct editions, in octavo and quarto formats. The present description applies to the octavo edition of part 3 (the Appendix). 500 copies were printed in royal octavo format, and 150 in quarto format, 125 in royal quarto and 25 in imperial quarto (with "proofs" of the plates)
