About this book
[ALS to John Bruce]
Author: Collier, John P. (John Payne)
Year: 1841
4to. pp. 3. Letter in which Collier thanks Bruce for looking over ‘Reasons,’ and for his favorable opinion. He will ‘certainly attend’ to two of Bruce’s suggestions, one involving a comment on Alexander Dyce. Collier says that Bruce's idea ‘about the Saints’ never struck him until Bruce mentioned it. The letter includes a torn paragraph: ‘Dyce would have no [reason] to complain, because the [case is] as I state; but if you think [he wou]ld complain, even without [reason], that is enough to induce me to make the alteration.’ Click here to view the Johns Hopkins University catalog record.
