About this book

A quantitative study of regeneration by inductive feedback

Author: Jolliffe, C.B. Rodman, J.A.

Year: 1924

Simple alternating-current theory is used to show that the amplification produced by the type of regeneration employing inductive coupling between the anode and tuned grid circuits of a receiver, can be considered as caused by a reduction in the resistance of the tuned circuit. An, expression is obtained for the current amplification with inductive reaction, and this was confirmed by experiments in which the current in the tuned circuit with and without regeneration was measured by means of an electron tube voltmeter which measured the drop of potential across the condenser in the tuned circuit.
