A Nursing Manual for Nurses and Nursing Orderlies [1914]

Author: Duncan C L Fitzwilliams (Duncan Campbell Lloyd)

Digitised by Google Books from the collection of Stanford University, see Source below. If necessary, click on Show More, below. Published in London. The author’s appointments included Capt, 1st City of London Field Ambulance. This was one Territorial Units of the R.A.M.C. (Royal Army Medical Corps, British Army) The Preface says "This Manual is based upon the instructions which it has been my duty to impart to the nurses of St. Mary's Hospital, to the nurses of Paddington Green Children's Hospital, and to non-commissioned officers and men of the First City of London Field Ambulance…. This book is primarily intended for the use of nurses, and I have endeavoured to include all the essentials which a nurse, a nursing orderly or a Red Cross worker should know. A great deal of first aid in Red Cross work will fall to the share of male nurses and orderlies, and for that reason the First Aid in the Field has been fully dealt with, and will, I hope, prove of value to members of the Territorial Units of the R.A.M.C."
