Author: F G Woolnough (Frederick George)

Year: 1925

Digitised by Google Books from the collection of the New York Public Library, see Source below. If necessary, click on Show More, below. Second Edition 1925. The Preface says "This brief War History of the Royal Tank Corps - which is also almost its entire history - has been collected from various sources in order to enable a recruit to become acquainted with the principal deeds of arms performed by the tank, to aid in the fostering of esprit de corps, and to show how some of the individual members of our nation persevered, in the face of many difficulties, to give our Army that weapon which triumphantly solved the problem of movement on the Western Front. It will serve recruits of the Royal Tank Corps as a textbook in regimental history, a subject of outstanding importance in the syllabus of the Third Class Certificate of Education."
