About this book
56th Senate, Document No. 444, Papers Relative to an Agreement With the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota
Author: Bottineau, John B.
Year: 1900
56th Congress of the United States, 1st Session, Senate, Document Number 444: Papers Relative to an Agreement With the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota . Referred to the Committee on Indian Affairs and ordered to be printed, June 6, 1900. The document, consisting of a collection of documents relating to the 1892 (ratified 1905) McCumber Agreement between the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and U.S. government, was compiled by the Turtle Mountain attorney John B. Bottineau (aka Jean) and presented by Sen. James H. Kyle of South Dakota. The document is OCR'd but not flawlessly, and many of the words were misread, sometimes as gibberish and random symbols.
