PDF PAGE 6, COLUMN 1 COMMISSION WILL HEAR FRANK APPEAL ON JUNE 7 Secretary Yancey Declares Special Hearing Rumor Was Goodloe H. Yancey, Secretary of the State Prison Commission, stated Tuesday that the Frank Appeal for Commutation would, in all probability, take its regular course and come before the Board at the next scheduled meeting, the week of June 7. This Statement followed a Report yesterday to the effect that the Frank Case had been scheduled to come before the Board on May 19. Mr. Yancey said there was no basis for this Report. There has been much Speculation, whether or not the Frank Plea would be heard at a specially called Session, or would take its due course. Judge Patterson and R.E. Davidson, members of the Prison Commission, will be in Atlanta during the week of May 19, it was stated, although their visit is said to have no connection with the Frank Case. Mr. Rainey may also be here next week. Mr. Yancey said Tuesday that no action had yet been taken or outlined in regard to the Hearing, except, of course, the filing of the Formal Appeal immediately after notification of the Supreme Court verdict.
