PDF PAGE 2, COLUMN 1 DORSEY READY TO ARGUE MOVE TO UPSET VERDICT Hearing on Frank Case Motion, Is Scheduled to Come Up Wednesday. It was announced yesterday that Solicitor Dorsey would be able to go on with the John L. Tye motion to upset the Leo Frank verdict next week, and that the motion would be given complete hearing before the week was over. It is scheduled to come up next Wednesday. There are prospects, however, of it being postponed until Saturday. Much interest is being centered on this phase of the case, as it is considered the most formidable stronghold of the defense. Frank’s attorneys express confidence that the convicted man will be freed by this motion, which alleges that it was illegal to render the verdict without Frank’s presence in court. The grand jury will take up the perjury and bribery investigation this week. The venire of thirty-six members was drawn yesterday, and Judge Ben Hill’s charge will be delivered Monday morning. It was stated in the solicitor’s office yesterday, however, that the investigation would hardly be put forth until later in the week, on account of work upon the Tye motion counter-showing.
