Beavers and the burlesque theaters in Atlanta, according to statements by the managers Sunday afternoon. T. P. Holland, manager of the Columbia theater, at Central avenue and Wall street, and B. Tassell, manager of the Old Mill theater, on Whitehall street, both stated that it is their purpose to run clean shows in their theaters and to keep their stages free from young girls. They said that they were glad to have the chief call and inspect their theaters at any time. Further than this, they have requested Chief Beavers to keep an officer on duty at each theater, who will watch each performance and if he sees anything which he thinks improper he may have it stricken from the bill at once.
