About this book
1872 Lawsuit Of John Nettleton Against Jason Strevell
Author: Dale C. Maley
Year: 1872
John Nettleton, stepson of Jason Strevell, sued Mr. Strevell claiming that Mr. Strevell improperly took ownership of property of his family when his birth father, Zelus H. Nettleton, died in 1857. Mr. Nettleton won the suit and Jason Strevell had to return some farm land south of Pontiac to Mr. Nettleton plus a cash settlement. It is believed these court records were found by Collins Miller at the old Pontiac Courthouse.
